<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The roundtable discussion Biodiversity Conservation and Invasive Species Control under Changing Climate: Technological and Legal Aspects was held on November 26, 2025, as part of the V Congress of Young Scientists (November 26–28, 2025, Sirius Federal Territory), with over 9,000 participants. The round table brought together representatives of leading scientific institutions, universities, and other relevant organizations to discuss modern technological solutions and the necessary regulatory and legal incentives for developing biodiversity conservation technologies under climate change, including technologies for protecting natural and agricultural ecosystems from invasive species of animals, plants, and microorganisms whose ranges are shifting and expanding toward northern territories. How can the risk of biodiversity losses in areas where invaders are present be reduced? What forecasts are there today, and how can modern digital technologies and biotechnologies be used to control the spread of invaders and protect existing natural and agricultural ecosystems? How can we motivate businesses to actively participate in the development and implementation of technologies that reduce the risks of biodiversity losses and hinder the development of invasive species? What revisions are needed to the legal and regulatory framework to stimulate the development of technologies for preserving biodiversity and combating invasive species of animals, plants, and microorganisms included in the list of critical technologies by Decree No. 529 of the President of the Russian Federation “On Approval of Priority Areas of Scientific and Technological Development and the List of the Most Important Science-Intensive Technologies” dated June 18, 2024? The article presents the opinions of the roundtable participants on these and other issues related to this topic, detailed descriptions of the scientific and technological areas identified at the round table, and the main problems and proposals highlighted.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>биоресурсы</kwd><kwd>биотехнологии</kwd><kwd>большие данные</kwd><kwd>генетическая эрозия</kwd><kwd>генетические ресурсы</kwd><kwd>генетические технологии</kwd><kwd>генетическое разнообразие</kwd><kwd>геномика</kwd><kwd>дендрогеномика</kwd><kwd>инвазивные/инвазионные виды</kwd><kwd>климатические изменения</kwd><kwd>национальные центры генетических ресурсов</kwd><kwd>нормативное регулирование</kwd><kwd>сохранение биоразнообразия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>bioresources</kwd><kwd>biotechnology</kwd><kwd>big data</kwd><kwd>genetic erosion</kwd><kwd>genetic resources</kwd><kwd>genetic technologies</kwd><kwd>genetic diversity</kwd><kwd>genomics</kwd><kwd>dendrogenomics</kwd><kwd>invasive species</kwd><kwd>climate change</kwd><kwd>national genetic resources centers</kwd><kwd>regulatory framework</kwd><kwd>biodiversity conservation</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">публикация подготовлена в рамках реализации Программы развития Национального центра генетических ресурсов растений по соглашению с Минобрнауки России от 26 февраля 2025 года № 075-02-2025-1584.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">the present article was prepared within the framework of the Development Program for the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources under Agreement No. 075-02-2025-1584 with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, dated February 26, 2025.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Battlay P., Hendrickson B.T., Mendez-Reneau J.I., Santangelo J.S., Albano L.J., Wilson J. et al.
